Blissful Barn pairs rustic charm with modern conveniences, offering electricity, running water, Wi-Fi, and handicap-accessible restrooms. Central heating and cooling are available in the bride’s suite, groom’s suite, restrooms, and catering prep area to ensure comfort in every season.
Ceremony spaces include outdoor settings, inside the barn, or on the patio with protective windscreens. For couples seeking a timeless backdrop, our rustic wooden pergola is the perfect complement to your vows.
A highlight of the property is our 10-foot-deep koi pond—a unique feature that adds beauty and tranquility to any event, with koi that are a joy to watch. In the evening, guests can gather around our large fire pit, complete with seating and firewood, for a picture-perfect ending beneath the Michigan stars.
Our grounds are expansive, steeped in history, and carefully landscaped over the years. For safety and to preserve the integrity of the venue, children under 13 must be accompanied at all times. Additional information on designated smoking and vaping areas, as well as décor and vendor guidelines, is provided below.
We’re so glad you’re here!
We encourage you to bring your personal style to Blissful Barn—we truly look forward to seeing it! To help protect the barn, property, and rentable items, we do have a few restrictions in place. These include, but are not limited to, refraining from using nails, glue, staples, or tacks on the barn, trees, or rented items.
To keep the property and farmland clean, anything scattered or tossed during your celebration must be made of natural materials. For this reason, balloons, fireworks, party poppers, potpourri, silly string, confetti, sequins, glitter, and artificial petals or leaves are not permitted.
Candles are allowed, provided they are fully enclosed in glass and never left unattended. Sparklers are also welcome but must be used only in the circular driveway area.
At the end of your event, all items brought in by clients or their vendors must be bagged for disposal or loaded and taken off-site. Blissful Barn–owned items may, of course, be left inside the barn.
Caterers and clients are responsible for clearing and unsetting dinner service items—including cups, dinnerware, cutlery, glasses, napkins, bottles, and any cigarette or cigar refuse—by ensuring all event refuse is bagged and placed in appropriate receptacles.
All meals and food items must be prepared in advance in a licensed kitchen, in full compliance with Michigan law and standards set by the Berrien County Health Department.
Blissful Barn provides an indoor bar area and a portable bar table (typically used on the Grand Patio). Beer and liquor must be served in accordance with Michigan state law; clients are responsible for arranging bar staff and providing stock.
At least one Blissful Barn staff member will remain on-site throughout the event to assist with questions, ensure safety, and oversee facility operations. Although we currently do not offer full event staffing services, we are happy to share our curated list of highly rated vendors upon request.
Prices are subject to change at any time. Your price and event date are secured once both parties have signed the booking agreement and the initial payment has been received.
The agreement provides rental hours from 10:00 a.m. to midnight. However, because our property is private and secluded, there is no noise curfew, allowing for greater flexibility.
Blissful Barn accommodates up to 150 guests in May and October. From June through September, the addition of the patio expands capacity to 200 guests.
